Participant finds confidence and career success through the Restart Scheme

Unsure of how to re-enter the workforce and facing challenges with her job search, Age, from Enfield, joined the Restart Scheme for additional guidance.
With tailored support from her dedicated Employment Advisor, 35-year-old Age attended a CV masterclass, received one-to-one coaching and enrolled on several courses with The Digital College, a valued member of our Community Partnership Network.
To help her build relevant knowledge for roles in health and social care, Age successfully completed several courses ranging from safeguarding to health and safety awareness. These learning opportunities provided Age with the tools and confidence she needed to move forward.
In addition, Age completed employability development sessions, created a new CV to showcase her new qualifications and attended intensive interview coaching.
Just six weeks after joining the scheme, Age secured a position as a carer within a local care facility, an achievement she credits to the personalised support she received: “From the beginning I felt supported. All the advice and guidance I received has been invaluable; I felt seen, heard and supported every step of the way and I never felt like just another participant.
“The help I received was unwavering and I’m truly grateful to Maximus. I now feel confident in my abilities and motivated to continue growing professionally. In fact, the entire experience has been brilliant and life changing.”
