Back in work after a decade
James returns to work for the first time in over 10 years
James began his Restart Scheme journey in April with Maximus. He previously worked in the warehouse sector, and he held a forklift licence – but he had been out of work for over 10 years.
James didn’t have a CV, and his Employment Advisor Kiran recognised this as his main barrier to getting back into work. Alongside this, James’ passport has expired.
Kiran supported James through the Springboard CV Masterclass, in which Kiran helped to review and create a job ready CV for him.
Kiran applied for a new passport for James and the Restart Scheme paid for his passport, pictures, and postage to send his expired passport back to the passport office.
With his brand-new CV and passport in hand, James went for a job interview and was successful in securing the role. He started his new full-time role as Machine Operative in June.
